CHARCO ESCONDIDO with the volunteers

El Charco Escondido is located in Jamundí, municipality of Valle del Cauca, 17 km away. south of Cali; To get there we left from Cali by car to Miravalle and then a couple of hours of walking to the Charco Escondido.

In our circuit we enjoy a beautiful show of nature and live many surprises. During the tour, you can enjoy beautiful views of the mountains and their surroundings, old railway line with tunnels of an abandoned mine, wildlife of the area and an impressive scenery to reach the natural lake fed by the Cauca River.

Witnessing these landscapes and having direct contact with nature in its natural state is unforgettable, and on the way we cross small improvised bridge by the settlers because the area still has no infrastructure. It is an exhausting trip, but in the end you arrive and bathe in Charco Escondido, enjoy the jungle nature, it is a real tourist attraction that I recommend if you visit Cali.
